Hey everybody

Rob here.  Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers.

I'm a little nervous about the surgery but I am sure things will be okay.  I'm more concerned about Carrie's stress level and not being able to see Kaitlyn for a period of days.

This may seem like an extreme procedure but I feel this is the best option.  In fact, there is a higher risk of a negative occurrence if I don't have the procedure done.  We have been quoted complication rates of less than one percent and the guy doing the procedure is one of the best in the country. My age and lack of other health problems also lowers the complication rates even more.

Prayers for our family are welcomed and I appreciate the words of support I have received thus far. A successful procedure will likely produce a run at the 2012 N.H.L. Draft.

  1. I love you, brother in law!
And why bother with the NHL? You've already hit the big-time - you have a blog about you.

  2. Best Wishes Rob!!!
You and Carrie and Kaitlyn are in my thoughts and prayers. The NHL are overrated!!! I prefer baseball...Derek Jeter, Adam Wainwright...need I say more????

  4. Well, I don't know why my first post didn't show up. We are thinking of you, during this time. We've been through this, so please please let us know if we can do anything from afar. Love you all.

  5. Wow, Carrie. Given Rob's past behavior when he's gotten into your Facebook account, I can't believe you let him onto the blog. Or did he hack in...?!

Good luck, Kaitlyn's Daddy. Zoe's Mommy is sending tons of good vibes!

  6. Hey Cousin! I know that this will be a rough couple of months but we will be praying for you here in Texas. Just think of it as some type of really tough spring training program.

  7. Forget the NHL...how does press secretary/body guard/chief of police sound! After you have a full recovery your family will be relocating to Serpent Farm, SD and Carrie will begin to pursue her political dreams. First she will become the first Democratic mayor of this conservative town and once she wears her Hillary Clinton for President shirt...she will need 24 hour round the clock protection. Options are endless here (that is unless you are talking shopping...) From Serpent Farm to the City of Trees....you all have been in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. Sending big hugs to everyone...after all HUGS are FREE!!! Love you guys and miss you even more!
